Pokemon Platinum

The release date for the Japanese version of Pokemon Platinum is now officially September 13 2008.

New features are set to include:

• Team Galaxy Returns and they seem to play a greater role in the overall story
• Two new characters are in the game: one will be a member of Team Galactic, the other one will be part of an currently unnamed international police force
• New Sprites
• The Battle Frontier returns in the fight area and there are different areas in the Battle Frontier once again. The Battle Tower still remains.
• The WiFi area has been enhanced and it now can support up to 20 people at one time. The basement of each Pokemon Center was also fully extended.
• A new item called the Battle Recorder that allows you to record battles. You can share the recorded battles with your friends over GTS in Jubilife City.
• Shaymin Sky Forme's ability is Serene Grace and knows the move Air Slash.
• Giratina's Origin Forme's ability is Levitate.
• There is a new Swalot poffin making machine which you can use over Wifi. You throw berries into it.
